This is a first of many digital art prints I hope to offer on etsy. This mermaid was originally created for a custom birthday invitation, note cards, favors etc. I have changed her a bit for the art print so that the birthday girl has a one-of-a-kind just for her. Basically this one is slightly different. I also have her as a brunette, redhead, raven-haired, medium tan and darker skin tones.
She is 5" x 7" including the white area around the print. The image itself is about 4.25" x 6.25". I also have her in an 8" x 10" size. If you need another size to fit a specific frame or space I can make that change.
She comes with the word Mermaid but I can change it to your child's name or another word.

Lovely Envelope From Across The Pond
I was surfing around etsy one day during the YART Sale and found this wonderful artist. Eloise from HidenSeek Her art has such a great fairytale quality that I was immediately charmed. Since she was having a sale it was the perfect time for me to purchase one of her lovely prints.
I was so surprised and pleased by the package the print came in! Isn't it wonderful?! It's a piece of art in itself and I'll be keeping it.
Check out the back too! The whole theme carries through to the back of the envelope. That is so awesome!
The print is called "Mom, this is the friend I told you about". The artist included some fun little stickers that matched the art, wrote me a note on paper that matched the art and included a great business card that coordinated with it all. This my friends is Brand Marketing at it's best!
It survived the trip very well all the way from the UK and I was so pleased I had to tell everyone about it. I will return to purchase again from this wonderful seller. Not only was the product first rate her customer service was excellent!
So if you have a few minutes grab a cuppa joe or tea and look through her store, you will not be disappointed.

New Printer
I have a new printer in my studio. Purchased it right before I became so ill and have only had a chance to use it once. It's an Epson Stylus Photo Printer. It handles large format printing on a variety of papers. I bought it to complement my color laser printer. It does everything my laser can't: rough textured media, broad blocks of colors and larger size media.
I'm extremely pleased with the new printer so far! It looks so small in this picture but it really is a beast. When you open up the paper feeder and the part where the paper comes out it's like a "Transformer" (more than meets the eye!) So cool! Yeah I know I'm a geek.
My plan is to use this printer to print some graphics I drew and made into art prints. Great for kids rooms and rooms for kids at heart. I'm very excited about the whole thing and can't wait until I move into my new studio space so I can finally spread out.

Pay It Forward People!
A favorite blogger and twitter friend, Shauna from Lemon Drop Studio had a Pay It Forward challenge on her blog about a month ago. I was one of several lucky recipients of some Lovely Lemon Drop items. And I've been charged with Paying It Forward.
So here I am FINALLY doing it. (Illness has kept me from being more prompt on this and I apologize to Shauna for my lateness and hope she will forgive me!)
Basically as I understand it the whole thing works like this: you announce your challenge and specifics, interested people comment on your blog, you pick however many people you specified as your winners, those people then set up a challenge on their blog and the goodness is spread throughout the land!
Attention: This is not a comment and win thing. If you win, you have to Pay It Forward! It's not about winning free stuff it's about spreading joy. If you are not a crafty person, that's fine you can bake something, pass along some great books, send something great you don't use but someone else will love, etc.
O.k. so here's how I'm doing mine. I design personalized stationery, sticker, labels etc. My ebay store is closed right now so you won't be able to see the kinds of things I do so I thought I'd just at least give you a heads up on what you might get.
1. The first 3 people to comment are winners and if there are more than 3 I'll pick a 4th winner randomly out of the rest of the comments. Also if there is a really large amount of comments (kind of doubt that but well you never know) I'll pick a 5th person. So tell your friends and spread the word!
2. Once you win please post a Pay It Forward on your blog and let me know your link so I know you are being a wonderful person and then I'll mail your sassy stationery stuff to you. (Don't be all crazy, guilty and late like me!)
3. I'll announce the winners next Monday May 4th so everyone has time to comment. Enjoy!
