A look at the finished Ballet Girls art

If you remember from a previous post I was struggling with art for a custom job. Well here's the final finished art. I think they came out very well. The client really loved the invites, flat thank you cards & favor stickers I did. And since she has received the invites I can now show you the art.

I'll be offering these little ballet girls with different hair and skin colors soon. Not sure if they will be available in my Ebay store or just my web site yet. I'm also thinking of making digital prints to be framed for little girl's rooms to be sold in my etsy shop.

Almost Wordless Wednesday

My dog laying in the window. A trick she picked up from the cat. The cat is laying in the chair. They fight for that window space! Someone gets the chair and someone gets the window. It very amusing to watch the power play!

Bits and peices of yesterday's ballet drama

I spent most of Saturday struggling to draw a little ballerina for a custom birthday invitation. Not sure why I was having so much trouble getting the picture in my head onto the computer, but I was.

Above is the jumbled mess that I couldn't quite get together, until I put on the Disco CD. If you follow me on twitter then you know Disco always breaks the creative block and is super fun to dance around my studio and sing to!

I really love doing custom designs. They give me a chance to do something different to stretch my creativity. Plus my clients like that they have something that is one of a kind, that no one else has, that was created just for them.

I ended up doing 2 ballerinas since it is a shared party and I really think they came out great. The client hasn't seen them yet so I'm not going to post them here until she does. Meanwhile I do have some ballet designs in my eBay store if you are looking to buy something already done.

Today is my son's 20th birthday & Zombie day!

So today is my son's birthday. I'm not going to make the fuss I did last year. For some reason this birthday is a little easier for me but next year's 21st will be hard, especially since the youngest will be 18 that year.

I made this zombie doll for my son's birthday. We share a love of anything zombie & I knew he would appreciate the handmade gift. And he did. He's named the zombie and is going to hang it from the rear view mirror of his car. Oh and the pink thing in the zombie's hand is of course BRAINS!
