New Dolls Finished AND Listed In My Etsy Shop!

April was a crappy month but May is slowly turning out better so far. I completely finished 2 new dolls! 2 more have their bodies done but need clothes.

These 2 cuties are actually listed in my esty shop right now! Will they sell? Who knows? We'll see!

After I made Ann I had to make Andy. He was designed and sewn in the last 3 days. Ann has a vintage Ann face embroidered on her apron. Both dolls have embroidered face, hair and clothing details.

Missing A Great Opportunity.

I was contacted thru etsy about having my plush specifically my Tardis plush at a Tech Expo. They have a great Virtual Vendor program so I wouldn't have to physically be there which is great cause of my chronic illness. I was so excited about it and worked hard to design other techy type plush to send also. Then I started to have some of the worse pain I've had in a while and I realized I just couldn't consistently produce in the time frame so I had to bow out.

I'm pretty sad about it cause it was a great opportunity to get my plush out in public. I'm hoping I'll be able to do it next year. Anyway I thought I'd show some of the designs I did before they get packed away.

Was going to do Girl robots too. I was also going to do stickers of all the characters and possibly magnets too.

Halloween Owl Giveaway and some Halloween Hooters.

After I made my Halloween plush dolls I had an overwhelming desire to make Halloween owls too. So..I did. I would have made more but I ran out of felt in the colors I needed...figures.

Any hoo, I made a fun one for my Halloween giveaway. He's a little mini but sweet as can be. He's a Witch Owl. Magical and fun. Casting happy spells as he flies through the forest.

He's 11 inches tall (27.5cm) Made of eco felt and fabric and all hand sewn.

New Halloween Plush Dolls

I've been wanting to make some plush dolls and recently was focused so hard on my other dolls that I needed a break. I had a design I did months ago so I set aside my Halloween dolls for a bit and cranked these out instead. They are based on a design I did for a Vampire Dotee Doll swap I did last year. I had so much fun with it I wanted to do larger plush. The original design didn't have arms or legs but were pillow like but I decided to push myself further and make dolls out of them. I'm in love with them! There was supposed to be a witch and a Skellie but time got away from me so I might not do those this year. I did do a Ghost, Vampire, Frank and his Bride.

Please let me know your thoughts on them. I'm thinking of re-doing the ghost. I made him first and I think he needs more detail. These will be OOAK and if they sell I won't make anymore until next year and they will be somewhat different.

Crazy Weekend and A Candy Corn

This weekend was very full. It started with The Girl's first Women's College Soccer game on Friday. They won 3-1 but the Girl pulled her hamstring again and had to leave the field in pain several times. She was very disappointed in her performance. By that night I realized that her allergies were more than just that and suspected that she had a full blown sinus infection on top of everything else and her asthma was worse.

In between baking for the Girl's Team Bake Sale and groceries and cleaning and dealing with the whiny Girl and forcing her to take a trip to Urgent Care and another trip to the pharmacy for antibiotics, I did manage to sew up a fun Candy Corn Plush and start work on my Halloween character stickers.

He's a larger version of my little Halloween ornament.

The Candy Corn Plush is now in my etsy shop and I hope to get my stickers done in the next few days.

I sent the Girl to school today with 2 big bins filled with 3 kinds of cookies and 4 kinds of muffins for the bake sale. I went a bit overboard probably. The girl's are going to an out of state tournament next weekend and the sale is to provide them with spending money that the athletic dept doesn't and also to go towards new warm up suits. Am also debating if I should bake some more today for the rest of the sale tomorrow.

My mom made the labels and packaged everything up so nicely.
