Lots Going On..

I'm not doing Friday Finds this week due to too much going on but I have 2 more great artists lined up and am looking for more.

This has been a crazy week for many reasons. My oldest and only son turns 21 today. I'm working away at my witch dolls which are coming along well. I learned how to sew hair on my dolls which gives them a whole new dimension and I'm pretty geeked about that! I have tons of felt to cut out for Christmas/winter plush creatures and more dolls. I've also revived my stationery business.

Oh you didn't know I had a stationery business? Not surprising as I let it slip by the wayside this past Spring. I needed a rest and unfortunately that couple of weeks turned into months. I really wanted to concentrate on plush making and while I think I used that time wisely I feel the pull of drawing little graphics and miss my clients. I'm also currently working on a separate blog just for my stationery.

I've been on ebay for 6 years and my stationery was headquartered there but was tired of the fees. I also was unhappy with my website so am putting everything on Zibbet.

So if you are a former stationery client or just looking for fun and whimsical paper goods, come check me out there.

I've gotten a wonderful response for my little witch owl giveaway! Thanks everyone! I want to mention a great blog friend who was so kind to put a button/badge on her blog about my giveaway. She is also having a giveaway, so quick get over there she's picking a winner tonight!

Giveaway!

O.k. it's been a while since I had a giveaway so you lovely patient and loyal readers are due for one I think! I had some very good yet slightly puzzling news at the Doctor yesterday. Apparently I'm not dying yet so I can finally turn my attention to more important things like plush and felt and giveaways.

I've made a very special OOAK Owl in a similar tulip design to the large blue one in my shop. You know you want to be the only one to have this...right?

She is approximately 7 inches tall (19 cm) and completely  hand sewn and designed by me.

She's smaller than my original tulip owl but just as sweet.

O.k. here are the info and rules:

I thought it would be fun to add some additional items to the giveaway especially since I've gotten such a wonderful response. So I'm adding 6 A2 size (5.5" x 4.25") flat cards and stickers of the digital drawings I use when creating the plush and 12 fun stickers too.
 Also thought I'd throw in the a 5" x 7" digital print.

New Items Up In Etsy Shop and WIP

Penguins In Love A2 Note Card Set.

Cupcake Love 5 x 7 Print.

Do ya get the whole love theme yet? LOL!

WIP

Possible Panda Plush with Embroidered Heart
It's all hand sewn so I'm not really sure I have time for this but I did
make a prototype which led to another idea.

I printed some ideas onto fabric for soft plush dolls. Still working
out the kinks.
These could show up in my etsy shop soon.

Quick peek at my Rose Tyler Dr. Who doll. I'm still not happy with her face. This is her second head and 3rd face and I'm not happy yet but I don't have time to keep messing with her so I'm o.k. with her. I love how her hair and Union Jack t-shirt turned out though. Once she gets her legs and eyebrows I'll take better pics. A Captain Jack Harkness doll is in the works too.

I've been working on a secret project

For the last few days I've been working in secret on a special project. After I made the little felt ornaments I just listed in my etsy shop I thought "wouldn't these be cute as graphics for stationery"?After all that's what I do (I'm a sassy stationery gal!). Although I kind of did this backward since I usually draw something out first then make a little felt thingy.

So off to the computer I dashed and I'm really very pleased by how they came out. But now I'm thinking I should make bigger plush Santa & friends with more details than my simple ornaments. See how my mind jumps from thing to thing! ADD at it's worst here. No wonder I have such a hard time getting things done for my etsy shop! I must restrain myself and save that idea for next year since I running so late on this idea! But hey when the creative juices flow you gotta go with it even if the timing isn't always right.

By now you're probably saying "shut up already and show us the secret project!" So here it is.

I made 5.5" x 4.25" flat cards from the graphics. I have the snowman, reindeer, Santa, Mrs. Claus and the Christmas tree. I'll be offering these on etsy as soon as I figure out the details.

Check back tomorrow for a giveaway! You'll love it I promise!

Also please leave comments letting me know what you think of the cards and the graphics. I really want to know what you think.

A look at the finished Ballet Girls art

If you remember from a previous post I was struggling with art for a custom job. Well here's the final finished art. I think they came out very well. The client really loved the invites, flat thank you cards & favor stickers I did. And since she has received the invites I can now show you the art.

I'll be offering these little ballet girls with different hair and skin colors soon. Not sure if they will be available in my Ebay store or just my web site yet. I'm also thinking of making digital prints to be framed for little girl's rooms to be sold in my etsy shop.

Finally A New Post & New Items

Girl Monkey Face Notes

Boy Monkey Face Notes

Two new designs that I finished weeks ago and have been just sitting around. Just haven't been that motivated to get new designs going lately. The girl monkey was from a custom job that I modified slightly and I did the boy monkey for all the boys who are monkey lovers too. I have flat cards, round stickers and address labels too in these designs. So cute for any monkey lover!

These cute faces will be in my eBay store this week and a flat card version will be in my etsy shop soon.

I think they are adorable and hope they go over well.
