Friday Finds: 6 Of The Best Whimsical Tea Related Items You Will Adore

Today is the 358th Anniversary of Tea in England. Personally I'm a coffee drinker but my mom loves tea and my brother is some kind of tea connoisseur so I thought this was the perfect post to honor their love of tea.

I went around and found the cutest tea related things to share with you today!

 Plusheez

Happy squishy tea bag plush! Adorable for home decor, perhaps a couch pillow of a tea loving friend or family member. Such happy kawaii faces!

Little Dear

Adorable felt pattern for making your own felt tea, coffee or hot chocolate. It could be a pin cushion or a desk decoration or a play food for your child's mini play kitchen. Look at that charming little lemon slice and dollop of whipped cream!

 Hollyslay

Whimsical child's hand painted tea set. This delightful set would make for hours of imaginary play. I'm in love with the fun bright colors and that it can be personalized too. Every boy and girl should have a tea set. I actually learned table manners by playing with mine as a child. My brother served tea to his trucks, action figures and plush toys.

Crafty Cornish Maids

This is a Hedgehog tea cosy!!!! Such a darling idea and great for keeping your tea pot hot. Great idea and cosies come in all shapes and sizes and characters. Makes me want to get a tea pot and a cosy just because it's so darn precious! The cuteness factor is about 100 here. Now I wish I drank tea!

A2D Creations

Cute song lyric tea towels, I thought they were so funny! In the US we have dish towels which are absorbent printed towels. I'm sure the use is basically the same but tea towels are just more fun and seem to be more pieces of art. My Australian cousin sent me a tea towel for xmas and it's too beautiful to use, I'm going to frame it and hang it on the wall.

 Alison Appleton Studio

Wow a rubber ducky tea infuser! Such a darling little thing! My experience with tea infusers is that weird clampy spoon with holes in it or the metal acorn looking thing. Tea bags are huge here in the US so you don't see many tea infusers unless you are a connoisseur of fine teas or maybe a Hipster. This cutie floats around in your cup steeping your tea and looking like it's in a tub, so stinking cute!

Here's a bonus Free Tea related find.

 Sew Kidding

Sew Kidding's link will take you to her FREE printable tea themed Wall Art and note cards. She's a favorite of mine and her printables are so fabulously cute!

I hope you enjoyed this post. I'll be doing these once a month now since I have so many other amazing felt things to share with you!

Friday Finds: 8 Awesome Handpicked Mermaid Finds

Mermaids have always been a favorite of mine. I just loved the Hans Christian Anderson tale of the Little Mermaid. This was pre Disney's animated tale, when kids read books instead of watching movies. Don't get me wrong, I love animated movies (I have quite a passion for them) but the stories from the books, are so much more dear to my heart.

Mermaids are just so special!

Mermaids are brave and fearless and beautiful. They live in the sea and have fish for friends. Who wouldn't want to at least try out that life?

And yes, I know mermaids aren't "real", but just imagine if they were? How amazing would that be?

I handpicked a collection of awesome Mermaid related things for you today.

Just the cutest sparkly Mermaid cupcake toppers. I love that these Mermaids come in different skin tones and hair colors.

Awesome personalized Mermaid wall decal. I would love to put something like this in my studio.

How amazing is this?! Your child can be a mermaid! Several different colors and style Mermaid tails are available too. As a child, who spent hours at the local swimming pool, I would have LOVED this!

Whimsical and fun Mermaid wood sign. Perfect for a kids room or decor for any Mermaid loving home.

"Always be a Mermaid"...words to live by. I'm loving this great Mermaid print.

The most adorable Mermaid crocheted dolls. These dolls are quite fabulous and perfect for imaginary play!

I'm so crazy about this sweet baby mermaid outfit! I wish things like this were around when my daughter was little, I would have loved a photo of her in this!

I have a trio of Mermaid beauties in my shop right now that are looking for homes.

I hope you'll stop by and pay them a visit.

These lovely Mermaids are one of a kind felt and fabric plush dolls. They have 3 different skin tones and designs.

I'm curious if anyone would be interested in a downloadable Mermaid print like this or similar? I'm considering adding this to my shop and need some feedback.

Please leave a comment below or email me, thank you!

I hope you enjoyed my finds for this week!

And last not not least I found these delightful and colorful woodland animal nursery embroidery patterns. Super cute for kids and whimsical loving adults like myself.

I can't end this post without sharing a few of my woodland critters. Excuse the naked fox, she still needs her clothes. I'm going to have a big sale in the beginning of July on all my felt dolls. Rock bottom prices because I need to clear my shop out for lots of new and exciting things that are coming. These are all OOAK pieces and have to go!

So if you read my previous post, HERE, you'll know I am working on a Felt Castle Nursery Art Piece for my neighbor's new baby girl. And since castles are on my mind I thought today's finds should reflect that.

I think I found some really fantastic and fun castle themed items for kids and I hope you'll take time to check out these great shops!

A sweet watercolor Cinderella Castle print, perfect for fairy tale decor.

Really wonderful castle decal art that provides a backdrop for imaginary play.

Richly detailed paper Kingdom paper toy set that both boys and girls would love.

I absolutely love this wall decal! It's so great that you can get a darker skin version too.

Fantastic Felt Castle Play Set. This shop has several castle sets including an "Ice Castle", Rapunzel Tower and Woodland Castle that are worth checking out.

Enchanting soft castle play set with lots of castle characters to interact with.

Friday Finds: 5 Of My Most Favorite Felt Needle Books On Etsy

I just adore needle-books. They come in so many different designs and styles and there is a special one out there for everyone. Needle books can be super simple and utilitarian or absolute works of art. There are some really lovely needle books on etsy and I spent time looking through them all to find some favorites.

In case you don't know what a needle book is I'll explain, they are literally a small book usually made from felt or linen with a design on the front and has 3 or more "felt pages" to hold your needles. They are compact and easy to carry around so you can sew anywhere. It's also harder to lose your needles when they are stored in something so pretty.

I picked 5 of my most favorite needle book designs on etsy to share with you today.

My hands down favorite are these gorgeous needle books from MMM Crafts. A very talented woman named Larissa Holland is the designer of these lovelies. I've followed her blog for years and I have a felt girl crush on her. Her patterns are outstanding and I'm going to do a post just devoted to her soon.

These needle books are available as a diy pattern so you can pick your favorite colors and make your own special one.

I'm a real book lover not a KIndle lover so I find this awesome "antique leather, hardcover book" design to be so very charming. Unfortunately it's not a pattern, you have to buy the finished product. I wish it was a pattern cause I'd make one in a heartbeat, that's how much I love this design! This color palette is my favorite.

This seller makes a lot of different kinds of needle books and I had a hard time choosing just one, so please go visit this shop and see the other great designs.

I adore super cute things and I found this design to be so whimsical and fun. This needle book is a different size than needle books normally are which allows you store larger and longer needles. The button closure detail is different and fun too. This seller also doesn't offer patterns so you'll need to buy the physical product.

What a darling matryoshka doll needle book!  I have loved Russian nesting dolls since I was a child and had a great wooden set years ago. Such a cute and a lovely place to keep your sewing needles. This is also a physical product and not a pattern.

I checked this shop before I posted this and this particular needle book has been sold, but if you love it I'm sure the seller will make another one for you.

Last but not least is this beauty. I love how the bright colors pop off the black background and the embroidery is very nice too! This maker carried the colors from the front to the inside, making this a special treat for the eyes. This is another physical product and there are many to choose from in this shop.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my 5 favorite needle books from etsy as much as I enjoyed finding them for you!
