First Snowstorm of 2012

Until last night we only had two small snowfalls, just sugar snow as we call it cause it doesn't even cover all the ground. Very unusual for this part of the country. We usually have some snow by Thanksgiving and a lot in January. It's been so unseasonably warm that the teen boys next door were playing basketball in their driveway on New Year's Day. That's crazy town!

Anyhoo we finally got our first big snow. We had another one last week but it melted the next day as wasn't nearly as much so I don't count it. This snow will be here a while.

I'm the only car left in the driveway cause I don't have anywhere to go. As you can see my brother did NOT shovel this morning. Grrrrrr!
My front yard.
Down the street.
Me in my house shoes in the driveway. The snow hits me about mid calf. It's too tall for my pup Lita to walk in.

I like snow I just don't want to shovel it! Every year we say we're going to get a snow blower and we never do.!

We bought a snow blower and since we did it has rarely snowed enough to use it. This year we had no snow until the other day but not as much as you have.

We didn't get nearly as much as you did. And it has been weirdly warm here, too. We did crack a couple of years ago and bought a snow blower. I love it! :) Stay warm! xox

I have a snowblower-shovel thingy.
You plug it in and it sort of blows it away. Not as good as a regular snowblower but it was only $99. But since I now have the van I just hit the gas and "roar" into and out of the driveway. :) We got a little less snow than you which is surprising since I'm just 2 1/2 - 3 hours to the west of you.
Stay warm! - Cindi
(your car looks like you too could just roar around! LOL!)

Oh, how fun. I am jealous because we have had so very little snow here in Colorado. :( I actually enjoy shoveling snow! What a workout!

Your winter sounds like our winter.

The big snow storm we were suppose to get over this weekend turned out to be rain?
Just strange for our neck of the woods too!

The snow is beautiful!

Hugs,
~Diane
